29 August 2014
Female high school students of JFA Academy Fukushima climbed Mount Fuji for cleaning up on Tuesday 19 August. This time they climbed with a university professor and graduate students who is studying Mt. Fuji and they received the lecture on history and environment of Mount Fuji. They look at Mt. Fuji casually every day and they felt why Mt. Fuji is great to be registered as a World Heritage because they climbed the mountain after learning its history.

MORITA Umi (5th Class)
It was first time for me to climb Mt.Fuji for cleanup. I had a good time as I learned about Mt.Fuji as well as about university holding good communications. There was not much trash on the ground but I picked up some and I believe Mt.Fuji gets cleaner now. I want to climb again next year.
AKAHASHI Fuko(4th class)
This is my second time for Mt. Fuji cleanup climbing. I climbed to the top of Mt. Houei as I learned about Mount Fuji. It was a good opportunity for me to know about Mount Fuji which I only look at it every day thanks to explanation on alpine plants and formation of Mt. Houei’s crater.
I’d like to say thank you to those who participated with us.
