Canon Girls Camp – Players having many programs of training from 1st day

The players looked bit nervous in the beginning, they seemed to have relaxed and felt comfortable with each other as they engaged in training programs one by one. They do training programs eagerly and get acquainted with each other, showed a good smiling face from the first day.

The programs listed below were carried out within matter of half day.
●The Opening:
Opening remarks by FUJIMOTO Runa, CSR Department, Canon Inc.
●Medical Check:
●Explanation on Renting a Wear:
Adidas wear is lent to the national team including SAMURAI Blue and selected team every time they do their activities. The wear you are going to have today is second-hand wear worn by the national teams in 2012. They were reminded to check the number of wears, their size, treat them nicely, keep them securely so that you can give back all of them at the end.
●Measurement of Physical Fitness:
Measured four items, bounding, shuttle run, 40 meter sprint and yo-yo.

●Trunk Training:
OGAI, trainer of physical fitness project, trained four programs – 1) front bridge, 2) side bridge, 3) hip lift, 4) squat
●Training:
Divided in three groups, they moved their body lightly doing ice breaking and technique long kick and finished the program after doing the game with some staff participating.
●Lecture on “The Trunk Training”, by YAMAGUCHI, Athletic Trainer
●Lecture “For Woman Athlete in Growing Years – Nutrition Edition” ISHII Kumiko, National Registered Dietitian at Japan Institute of Sports Science (JISS).
●Discussion in Groups: Self-introduction, Things to Take Care for Everyday Llife, etc.

I explained the basic concept of what kind of meal is necessary for a woman in growing years. This is important to actually prepare the every meal consisting of a staple, a main dish, a side dish, dairy products and a fruits.
It is a good occasion to have communication with you colleague and coach. I was assured the dining room filled with players’ laughter is a good sign of energy floating around in addition to the nutrition taken from the meal.
