Coach and Players' Comments
HONDA Midori, Head Coach of Uzbekistan Women’s National Team
This training camp was planned in the hope that the Uzbekistan Women's National Team, who are aiming to participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, will experience first-hand the level of Japanese football, which is leading the way in Asia, reflect on the identity of their country and Japan, and pass the experience on to the next generation. Both the Uzbekistan Football Association and the players are very grateful for the kind support and hospitality provided by the JFA. Another aim was to have the players understand the importance of off-the-pitch training in football and to spread this awareness in Uzbekistan. We had Mr. Kawasaki from MS Meister accompany us and give lectures on various topics including core training, agility, active stretching, injury prevention, and fatigue recovery. This was a very valuable learning experience for the players, as Uzbekistan does not have a comprehensive medical and health care system. I think it would be great for both countries if exchanges between Japanese and Uzbek players could be initiated in the future.

Our first camp in Japan was a very good one. I was especially impressed by the natural beauty of Japan and the hospitality of the people there. We were able to conduct quality training during the camp, where we trained twice a day and played a number of training matches. Japan has made great strides in developing women's football and has achieved significant results in international competitions. We came to Japan to follow in their footsteps and to find out what we are capable of. We hope to gain more experience through international competitions and achieve great results like Japan. Rather than being content with our current level of football, we want to keep trying to become better and bring as much glory as possible to our country.
Nilufar KUDRATOVA
First of all, on behalf of the team, I would like to thank the Uzbekistan Football Association and the JFA, Head Coach Honda and GK Coach Tsutsumi for their efforts in making this camp in Japan possible. I am very happy to be here in Japan with my teammates. The football environment in Japan is absolutely amazing and the experience of playing against Japanese clubs was invaluable for us. We believe that the experience gained from this camp will greatly benefit the future activities of the national team. The Uzbekistan Football Association and Uzbekistan Women's National Team would like to thank the JFA for providing us with such a great training environment and matches, and the people of Japan for all their support.
Diyora KHABIBULLAYEVA
I am very happy to be here in Japan. The first thing that amazed us when we arrived in Japan was the discipline and diligence shown by the Japanese people. We came to Japan to gain experience and I think we have achieved that. Japan is an international powerhouse in women’s football and has achieved great results, which I believe reflects the high level of interest in football among the Japanese people. Team staff such as head coach, assistant coaches, and team doctors are performing their duties at a high level. We need to thank the Japanese people who are currently supporting our team. We are also very grateful to the Uzbekistan Football Association and the JFA for providing us with this opportunity. The experience we gained from these training matches will help us, the Uzbekistan Women's National Team, to become stronger and achieve more in the future. Finally, I would like to thank Head Coach Honda and GK Coach Tsutsumi for leading us and imparting all their football knowledge to us.
