The 2nd J3 Referee Training held

The 2nd J3 Referee Training was held in Chiba for two days on 5 May (Mon, Holiday) and 6 May (Tue, Holiday). The training was comprehensive as it includes programs of the fitness training for enhancing your fitness, the practical training and the discussions.
Even though held in the bad weather, all the referees proactively took part in all through the training programs.

Instructor Comment

KASHIHARA Joji, Chief Instructor
Many referees looked bit exhausted of having conducted the game on the previous day, all the referees aggressively took part in the training programs.
Ten games held since the opening, I suppose many of them have conducted the game as they felt various things respectively. I had three objectives on this training. Reviewing the referees’ performance in the first ten games, identify what needs to correct and continue, secondly have close communication among referees, thirdly brush up spotting skill, feel and take action and make the most of these skills when conducting the game in the future.

Referees Comments

FUJITA Kazuya (Class-1 Referee / Toyama)
It was very informative training. I learned the importance of taking intervals when it comes to creating physical training menu for enhancing my endurance.
Also, it was useful to review the running form of each participant on video. For conducting the game and training, I will try to implement what I learned for enhancing my ability. Listening to various lectures, I realized “the communication skill” is something I need to improve, for the sake of ”smoothly carrying out the game as a whole”.
Taking advantage of things I learned at this training, I hope to step up while never forgetting my gratitude.

NISHIYAMA Takao (Class-1 Referee / Kagawa)
After opening the season, I participated in the first J3 Referee training.
For physical training, I took time to introduce the regular training I do every day and present the purpose of the training menu. It was good opportunity to exchange ideas and that led to come up with new method of training.
Also, I wish to implement feedback given by instructor as I could understand my areas for improvement clearly.
The focus of practical training was on the judgment in penalty area, assistant referee’s movement and their judgment.
I realized there are rooms to improve as an assistant referee, how an assistant referee should cover the areas unseen from referee. At the same time, when you acting as referee I came to understand the areas for which assistant referee can’t see.
Reviewing the games so far, I think I could share the issues of the whole group through making analysis and discussion.
Taking advantage of what I learned during two day training, I am ready to give boost to J.League Division 3 by exchanging views and ideas among referees more than ever.
