DF 16 OHATA Ayumu

He joined the team as a left-footed specialist.
Although he has never represented Japan at the youth level, the left-footed full-back, who is both a fierce defender and a technically gifted player, has caught the eye since turning professional, earning his first call-up to the U-20 Japan National Team in 2021. Since joining Urawa from Tosu in 2022, he has become an integral part of the team for the Paris Olympics.
In the AFC U23 Asian Cup, he initiated the play that led to ARAKI Ryotaro's goal in the semi-final against Iraq with qualification on the line.
He is expected to play a key role at both ends of the field at the Olympics.
