It has been determined that the U-21 Japan National Team, who will be touring Europe in September, will play an international friendly match against the U-21 Italy National Team at Castel di Sangro, Italy on Monday 26 September.

We are delighted to be given the opportunity to play against such a strong team as Italy, who like Switzerland, have also qualified for next year's UEFA European Under-21 Championship finals, and are strengthening their squad in preparation for the Paris Olympics. If we qualify for the Paris Olympics, we could be facing these two teams at the tournament.
