Comment of U-19 Japan Women’s Head Coach TAKAKURA Asako

It has been three months since the U-19 Japan Women’s national team formed in February. I am glad to see the growth of the players every time we hold the session and looking forward to participating in the upcoming championship.

I would assume every qualified country including those advanced through qualifiers is quite competitive and should not be undermined. We are determined to play as hard as we can as Japan had and never give up until the final whistle. Only three months to go before the championship, I will make every effort to win the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup berth with the squad united together. We never repeat the same thing we did in the previous championship - missing to earn the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup berth.
