Japan Under-19 squad visit Japanese embassy, prepare for semifinal match

rst place, visited the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam in the morning on 10th September. The entire team members were invited to the ambassador's official residence and met with ambassador FUKADA Hiroshi. Because they would seldom have a chance to get in an ambassador's residence, they players seemed nervous. It seemed that ambassador Fukada watched the two games of the group league, and he told the team, ''Do your best to win the championship.''
After a photo session with ambassador Fukada, the team moved to the embassy and were explained by a public relations person about the work obligations at the embassy as well as the country of Vietnam.
And the team left the embassy and directly were headed to their practice place. In order to remove as much fatigue as possible to prepare for their match on the following day, they trained mainly around running and stretching for about one hour.

For the dinner, they went to a Korean restaurant in Hanoi with an intention of switching their minds. As a lot of meats were placed on the tables, the players kept moving their chopsticks and enjoyed the meals and chatting with each other.
After the dinner, they held a customary one-liner event. This time Shindo was the first one to show her thing and she tried to make some laughs, yet it didn't work as much as she would expect it to be. But afterwards, Miura and Takagi showed some imitations and it worked to make others laugh.
On the following day, Japan would face Thailand in the semifinals. It would be a tough match but the team would do their best as the whole group.

Comments

MIURA Genta, Shimizu S-Pulse
We visited the embassy and had barbeques for the first time in a while for the dinner, and we got to be able to be relaxed so much today. For tomorrow's match, I believe that everybody has some fatigue but we want to play patiently, assuming October's AFC Under-19 championships, so we come up with a positive result.

SHINDO Ryosuke, Consadole Sapporo U-18
We visited the embassy and had training during the morning and we went to have some barbeques with the players and staff as a rally at night today. Since we have had limited meals during our Vietnam stay, it was a really good refreshment for us. Also, at the end of the dinner, we had a one-liner show and I was the first one to be designated to do something. I didn't have a result I wanted, but Miura drew a lot of laughs to regain the momentum after me and we ended up dismiss in a friendly mood. In the remaining two games, I would like to play to the maximum power so I will earn some respect from my teammates.
