Each group will play a round robin competition, from which the top two teams in each group will advance to the knock-out stage. The top four ranked teams will qualify for the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017. In case of India finish among the top four teams, fifth place play-off matches will be held among the four losing teams of the quarter-finals.
