U-16 Japan Women's National Team prepare for final against DPR Korea in AFC U-16 Women's Championship China 2015
15 November 2015
U-16 Japan Women's National Team held a wrap-up training session prior to the final of the AFC U-16 Women's Championship China 2015 against DPR Korea on Saturday 14 November.
In the morning, the players held a meeting ahead of the coming match, and attended a training session in the afternoon.
They started with some running and stretching. After refreshing both their minds and bodies, they practiced keeping possession, followed by a intrasquad game. Then they finished the one-hour session, and got themselves ready for the match of the following day against DPR Korea.
The final will kick off at 19:00 (20:00 Japan Time) on Sunday 15 November.
Players' Comments
DF #4 ICHINOSE Chisato (JEF United Ichihara Chiba Ladies U-18)
I’d like to win tomorrow’s game against DPR Korea, winning the championship with my teammates. I really want to claim the title, rather than just feeling satisfied with booking a place in the World Cup. For that, we are preparing ourselves better than the opponent prior to the game.
MF #13 ISERI Natsuki (JFA Academy Fukushima)
Finally we’ll play the final tomorrow. We started with the America tour in February, aiming to win the championship in Asia. We drew a game 1-1 with DPR Korea in the group stage. I’m desperate to win tomorrow. It’ll be the last time I play for this team, so I’d like to play hard as a team until the final whistle, claiming the title before proudly going back to Japan.
