U-18 Japan Futsal National Team short-listed squad training camp report (9/28)
29 September 2015
Japan Futsal National Team short-listed squad began their training camp at Ecopa Arena in Shizuoka Prefecture on 28 September. Shonan Bellmare's UEMATSU Koto, who's been called up for the national team (short-listed) for the first time, participate in this camp. The team will train for three days through the 30th.
The Japan team have developed themselves by playing exhibitions against Vietnam in June and Malaysia in early September. It will be a regular training camp this time, but coach Miguel RODRIGO told his players, “Let's have a better preparation looking at our national team activities going forward.”
Considering that it was the day for the team to assemble right after league games, they players focused on recovery training for about an hour this day. Stretching, doing a passing warmup, playing a foot tennis and foot volleyball, the players seemed to be relaxed but be focused.
Players' Comments
OSODO Nobuya (SHRIKER OSAKA)
In a relaxed mood, we were able to train, communicating with each other. Given the limited time, we will work with full effort and concentration so we can have meaningful training.
TANAKA Toshinori (FUCHU ATHLETIC F.C.)
We went through some menus that gave us some practical feelings such as playing a foot volleyball. Continuing from our previous training camp, we had fun in a good mood. I would like to work on issues for both the team and myself and improve them from tomorrow's practices, although the time is limited. Also, I would like to have as much fun as I can before we finished this training camp.
UEMATSU Koto (SHONAN BELLMARE)
When you just pick up the foot volleyball, you get to know the accuracy of your teammates' ball touches. In our training from tomorrow, I would like to absorb those high-level plays as much as possible so I'll develop myself.
