Beach Soccer Japan National Team played training match as final preparation for match against Hungary
01 August 2014
Beach Soccer Japan National Team changed two-part training originally scheduled for 31 July. Instead they took a half day off in the morning and played training match against local club, Siofoki Banyasz U-19.
After taking breakfast, they took a walk and did some stretch in very comfortable weather with temperature not so high.
Marcelo, Head Coach, set up meeting before leaving the hotel and explained the goal of today’s game saying “Winning the match is must and just make sure to play the Japan tactics we’ve been training.”
Kick-off was at 17:30. Japan team, dominating the game from the beginning, finished the first period 3-0 thanks to two straight goals by Haraguchi and Goto. More goals were expected in the second period but they ended up 5-3 reducing the lead because it started the period with conceding the goal.
In the following third period, Japan squad were overwhelmingly attacking the other side but the other side converted few chances and even equalized once. They narrowly won the match in the end securing victory by consecutive goals of Akakuma but this game presented many issues.
But it was a meaningful game because they could check many things in game format just before important international friendly match against Hungary. With the players having a good communication among them, they are all set for the first match tomorrow.

TOMA Masahito (SOL MAR PRAIA)
At the tournament in Portugal, I was very shocked to lose against Portugal 2-8 in the final match after winning two matches because I thought we were likely to win the game. But that’s the reality and it will be definitely crucial training match tomorrow against Hungary. Because Beach Soccer Japan National team doesn’t have much time to practice, I want to take advantage of the training match like that and have a good communication for checking our tactics. I am going to switch myself and play the game.
TERUKINA Shingo (SOL MAR PRAIA)
One day before the international friendly match against Hungary, we played training match against youth team of local club today. We checked our system of 3-1 and 2-2, played the game emphasizing making better communication among teammates. The content of the game was not that good but we could play in good style sometimes, attack in 3-1 formation and I look forward to playing these tactics tomorrow. I want to play Beach Soccer what the head coach is trying to achieve as a player and team not just winning the game but also focusing on how we win the game.
