Coach's and Players' Comments
KOGURE Kenichiro, Coach (Japan Women's Futsal National Team)
I am glad we were able to accomplish two of our goals today, one was to clinch the final round and the other was to keep a clean sheet. Our next match against China PR represents a major role ahead of the quarterfinals, so we will prepare well for it.
GK #12 SUGIYAMA Aiko (FUGADOR SUMIDA LADIES)
I am relieved that we were able to keep a clean sheet, as it was one of our goals today. We scored many goals today and it should allow us to enter the match against China PR in good shape. We will continue to do what we are supposed to do and win out of this round as group leaders. If we can manage to win the group, it will help us in the quarterfinals, so we will switch our mindset and prepare for our next match.
FP #8 AMISHIRO Anna (SWH Ladies Futsal Club)
Heading into today’s match against Bahrain, our goal was to keep a clean sheet. We struggled a bit facing a physically strong team, but we managed to take control of the match by scoring the opener and following it up with more goals. Our next match against China PR would be a difficult match for us, but we will fight as a team and do our best to advance through this round as group leaders.
