02 October 2015

It has been announced that the Japan Futsal National Team will play international friendlies against Colombia both in Tokyo and Osaka in January next year.
<1st Leg> 2016-1-27 (Wed.) vs Colombia Futsal National Team Tokyo/National Yoyogi Stadium First Gymnasium
<2nd Leg> 2016-1-30 (Sat.) vs Colombia Futsal National Team Osaka/Osaka Municipal Central Gymnasium
Miguel RODRIGO, Coach (Japan Futsal National Team) Comment
Claiming the title in three consecutive AFC Championships is the biggest aim in Japan’s futsal history. That’s why we decided to invite for the friendlies Colombia, one of the world’s top four teams. Colombia have a number of talented individual players, including ANDRES Camilo and ANGELO Caro, who perform excellently in international matches.
I expect we will have to focus 100% on defence for 40 minutes, as each player of the opponent plays strongly in one-on-ones. They are a perfect team to play against for the first test before achieving our aim – winning the championship in Asia.
