Beach Soccer Japan Provisional National Team training camp report (15 June)
16 June 2014

On 15 June, the last day of their training camp, after watching the national team play the first match in the FIFA World Cup on TV in the morning, the Beach Soccer Japan Provisional National Team had a training match from 1 pm to wrap up the camp against the combined squad of local LEON Fukuoka and Dorsole Kitakyusyu.
After Yamauchi scored the first goal of the match in the first period, the Japan Provisional National Team cruised to a 4-0 win with added goals by Akakuma in the second period, and Akakuma again and Tabata in the third.
Since Makino is from LEON Fukuoka and Miyamoto, Akakuma and Oba play for Dorsole Kitakyusyu, the match had many local spectators, which created a wonderfully enthusiastic atmosphere.
The first camp in Fukuoka has just successfully ended because of all the support from many.

Comment
Marcelo Silveira MENDES, Head Coach
We had a very fruitful camp. It was the first camp in Fukuoka, but we are very satisfied with the sand quality and atmosphere around. Above all it was many people coming to see us train that motivated the players and made them realised that they were the national team players. I appreciate all their support and I am very pleased with it. Also I would like to express my warmest appreciation to the Fukuoka Football Association that understood and supported what we wanted to do here.
After the ones in April and May, it was our third camp. In addition to the experienced veterans, we have watched some new players play. Those new players showed us how good each one of them was, and that has made every positional battle more competitive. We have come together as an outstanding group of players.
I have seen around twenty players. I expect that they will be the group of players who will play against other countries in near future. Of course I will welcome new players that we will discover later on, but considering how much these players have already understood and shared our strategies, this group will be the core and basis.
We will have to select ten players or twelve players depending on the number each tournament allows, but we have so many talented players like this, so no wonder it will be a very difficult but good task for us to ponder.
