JFA to carry out the heavy rain disaster relief for affected areas

The Japan Football Association (JFA) has decided that it executes relief activities for the areas devastated by the torrential rain that occurred this summer. The JFA will donate two million yen to Hiroshima City as well as hold fund-raising activities at the two Kirin Challenge Cup 2014 matches and the Nadeshiko WORLD MATCH to donate the collected money to each affected area. Please see the detail as follows.
We would like to offer our sincerest sympathy to the people living in the areas devastated by the heavy rain and would like to send our best wishes for the speedy restoration.
Relief Outline
1. Donating two million yen as monetary relief (by sending to “Monetary donation account for the torrential rain-related disaster on 20 August in Hiroshima”)
2. Executing fundraising activities at designated areas such as information desks (help desks), match-day program shops (entrance gate instead in Yamagata), VIP lounges and media areas at the following match. The collected donation will be used for the victims’ relief and restoration, sending through the monetary donation accounts of each local government.
