Aomori Yamada, Mitsubishi Yowa to face for back-to-back win – Prince Takamado Cup U-18 Premier League EAST
28 August 2014
The 11th week of the Prince Takamado Cup U-18 Premier League EAST will be held on Sunday 31 August.
After winning the last match, Kashiwa Reysol U-18 (Chiba) will visit Consadole Sapporo U-18 (Hokkaido). As Kashiwa have kept their unbeaten streaks on the road with 3 wins and 2 draws, they hope to add another win this week. Sapporo failed to record many wins in the first five matches with only 1 win and 4 losses. But with their cohesiveness improving in every match, they have transformed themselves to a team capable of earning points as seen in the recent five matches with 2 wins and 3 draws.
Ichiritsu Funabashi High School (Chiba) will welcome Tokyo Verdy Youth (Tokyo) at home. As Head Coach Asaoka Ryuzo commenting on the successful camp in Fukushima, “We could enhance our unity,” Ichiritsu Funabashi have polished their tenacity on their plays. They picked up a comeback win against JFA Academy Fukushima (Shizuoka) in the last match. On the other hand, Tokyo Verdy suffered a crushing 1-7 defeat against Mitsubishi Yowa SC Youth (Tokyo). How they improve their defence will be the key to come back in form.
Despite the good start with the first five consecutive wins, second-placed Shimizu S-Pulse Youth (Shizuoka) have struggled to win just one in the recent five matches. Their attacking end must reboot themselves as they have earned just one goal in the recent three matches. Against Academy Fukushima, seeking revenge as Hamada Chikara says “we’ll try to pay them back for the 1-3 defeat last time,” Shimizu want to open the scoring to get ahead first.
Kashima Antlers Youth (Ibaraki) will take on Ryutsukeizai Kashiwa High School (Chiba). Kashima have worked on their practices under head coach Kumagai Koji, focusing on intensity toward the ball. That toughness amazes even opposing players, saying “that’s overwhelming.” As Ryutsukeizai Kashiwa also show their tough effort, the contest between these teams will be full of entertainment.

In the last match, Aomori Yamada’s Yamashita Yuto and Mitsubishi Yowa’s Disaro Akira Silvano pulled off a hat trick. Both players are expected to be marked hard. It’s interesting to see how they grab a goal and lead their team to a victory against added defensive pressure. The spearheads of both teams will be a must-see.
