Participants enjoy time at JFA Nadeshiko Hiroba in Sendai
17 September 2014
The sixth edition of the JFA Nadeshiko Hiroba was held at Sendai Nakada sports boys football club in Miyagi Prefecture on 7th September and the participants, both adults and children, enjoyed playing football as always have. They showed some team work and bonds between the generations as the adult participants took the children's hands to induce and they were teaching and helping with each other.
The programme centered around menus that could be enjoyed from the pre-school children to the adults such as step works and ball feelings. Not just the children, but the adults also improved their ball touching as they repeated it and they seemed to be attracted by the game of football more. In the practical game-style menu, the participants gradually got the knacks for the spacing with their opponents and teammates, and attempted to get goals by moving the ball with everybody. Every single move they made, when they made passes, when they could trap well and when they took shots, they received applauses from other participants and they chased the ball so desperately.

SAITOU Tadao, public relations for NPO Sendai Nakada sports club
We were able to put the flyers at places like our nearby elementary schools and other public sites to recruit the participants, and we have always been given a lot of support from the local people. Our sports club runs based on the sports boys club, junior youth and senior team. But no matter whether you are a member or not, our goal is to contribute to revitalize the communities by running projects to prosper mental and physical health and exchanges between generations. The JFA Nadeshiko Hiroba is contributing to the revitalization of local sports and developments of female football players. We hope that people get to meet football and know the attractions of the game through the JFA Nadeshiko Hiroba, and wish to grow them to become outstanding players to represent Japan.

ASANO Rin
Because my older brother was playing football and it looks fun, so I became to want to play football, too. It's fun to enjoy football with my mom and friend, with everybody, here. When I take a shot, everybody says it's great and I'm happy to hear that. I think I played better than my mom.
ASANO Rin's Parents
She seems to always look forward to it. My daughter nags me and I've participated in it every time, but I actually enjoy it very much. I was thinking that I was just playing it for fun, but it's surprising that I've unconsciously become better in ball controlling. For both me and my daughter, we hope this event will continue.
The JFA Nadeshiko Hiroba
The JFA Nadeshiko Hiroba is a ''place'' and ''time'' for the women, from the children to the adults, to casually enjoy and continue to play football and futsal on a periodical basis. We are looking for those who can run this event.
