Recipient's Comment
Mr. NAGAI Hideki
Following the conclusion of the 2019 J.League season, the 22nd class S coaching licence certification ceremony was held at JFA House on 9 December. After receiving warm words from JFA President TASHIMA and J.League Chairman MURAI, we each received our certification plaques.
During the summer, I have concluded my overseas training with a Brazilian club, Flamengo, and submitted my final report to be certified with the class S coaching licence. Five days later, I received an offer to become the coach for Tokyo Verdy’s top team and started my new challenge as a J.League coach. Despite facing a difficult situation, I was able to start my new challenge without much hesitation or anxiety because of the Class S Coach Training Course. I would like to take this moment to thank Chief Instructor SUZUKI Jun, Mr. YAMAGUCHI Takafumi, Mr. IKEUCHI Yutaka, Mr. UCHIYAMA Atsushi, and Mr. MOCHIZUKI Satoru for their support over the past year. I would also like to thank the staffs of JFA, Mitsubishi Yowa, JISS, students of University of Tsukuba, Ryutsu Keizai University, Edogawa University, and everybody who supported us during the coaching course. Without all these people, we wouldn’t have been able to conduct this wonderful Class S Coach Training Course.
It has been 25 years since the start of the J.League. I was fortunate to be an active player during the inaugural year and I still vividly remember the words given by Captain KAWABUCHI that kicked off the league at the National Stadium on 15 May 1993. The level of Japanese football has improved dramatically since then and every city has the environment to enjoy football. We hope to gather the knowledge of this wonderful country to showcase a football style that can only be played by the Japanese players and strive to reach the world’s top tier.
Through the coaching course, I have learned that only the coaches can help develop the players. I will continue to strive to become a better coach and contribute to the development of Japanese football. I'm indebted to the J.League and Japanese football community for developing who I am today, and I hope to return the favour by helping the next generation. Sports have the power to make people happy. People are capable of getting stronger because of their dreams. I will continue to work hard so that I can become a person that can help people achieve their dreams.
Lastly, I would like to conclude this report by wishing the very best for the other members of the 22nd class of the Class S Coach Training Course.
